shaking and pouring..

These past two weeks, there has been lots of shaking, blowing and pouring... like Japan, Taiwan is located in an area where earthquakes and tropical storms are the norm..

Eastern part of Taiwan has been experiencing lots of minor earthquakes (between 3 - 5 Richter scales) almost everyday since Jun 10. (You can check out the list here. ) Once in a while, people in other parts of Taiwan can feel these quakes or aftershocks, especially if one is high up in a high-rise building... I felt a couple of those earthquakes myself too, but earthquakes don't really 'scare' me, especially having lived in Tokyo for almost 30 months.. :p

Also, here in Taiwan, we have tropical storms and typhoons.. monstrous storms that bring heavy rain and strong wind.. these storms usually occurs during summer and autumn... Tropical storm Talim is now 'cruising' along the Taiwan Straits, causing floods, landslides and what-not all over Taiwan.. luckily it is summer holiday right now, so I can stay at home and 'listen' the the howling and growling of the rain and wind outside my room while staying dry and comfortable indoors.. ;)

Anyway, just hope that there will not be any storms/typhoons next week when I am flying home.. :)
